Soha Ali Khan Biography

Soha Ali Khan is the daughter of the famous bollywood actress Sharmila Tagore and the Cricket Star-n-Royal Nawab Mansoor Ali Khan Patuadi. Soha has two siblings, the famous superstar Saif Ali Khan and jewellery designer Saba Ali Khan. Soha attended the British School in Delhi and then, went to UK for her further studies; she graduated with Master in International Relations from Oxford University. Soha returned to India and started working in Citibank. While in Delhi, she did a short modeling stint for designer friend Manav Gangwani, which was followed by many Bollywood offers. Soha decided to pursue a career as an actress and her debut movie was ‘Dil Maange More’ opposite Shahid Kapoor, which did well at the box-office.

Her next three movies, ‘Pyar Main Twist’, ‘Shaadi No. 1’ and ‘Antar Mahal’ however; flopped at the box-office. Soha finally tasted some success with ‘Rang De Basnati’. Signing a movie with Aamir Khan was ample to open new doors for Soha, who bagged her first solo actress project ‘Ahista Ahista’ opposite Abhay Deol; the movie did average business, but Soha was appreciated for her performance in the movie.

Soha also became the brand ambassadress for the famous Indian retail Chain ‘Globus’ and ‘Ambi-Pur’ fragrances. Soha has struggled in Bollywood despite having a star brother Saif on her side. Finally, the actress has managed to sign some great movies and Sudhir Mishra’s ‘Khoya Khoya Chand’ is one of them. Slowly, but steadily Soha is building her career as an actress in Bollywood.
